What data we collect and why

We process personal data to stay in touch with you and to process your orders: your name, email address, phone number, delivery address and payment details. You provide this data yourself via the website, for example when placing an order, creating an account, filling in the contact form or signing up for the newsletter.

Email you receive from us

We send two kinds of email. Messages about an order — confirmation, shipping, invoice — are part of the agreement and cannot be switched off while your order is in progress.

We also occasionally send a message about our collection or a promotion. We do so on two grounds:

• You signed up. When you sign up for the newsletter we first ask you to confirm by email, so nobody can enter your address.
• You ordered from us. As an existing customer we may inform you about our own, similar range. This is permitted under Article 11.7(3) of the Dutch Telecommunications Act, provided you can easily unsubscribe from every message.

Every commercial email contains an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click is enough; no login required. On the page that opens you can also choose to receive only news or only offers. If you unsubscribe, we keep your address on a suppression list — precisely so we can guarantee you hear nothing from us again.

Measuring whether our email works

In our commercial emails we record which links are clicked, so we can see what interests people and email less often. We store no IP address and no device data, and we do not use invisible images to track whether you open an email.

Click data is kept for a maximum of twelve months and deleted automatically afterwards. If you unsubscribe, this recording stops immediately.

Retention period

We do not keep your data longer than necessary. Specifically:

• Order and invoice data — seven years, due to Dutch tax retention requirements.
• Account data — for as long as your account exists. You can request deletion via info@itspawsome.nl.
• Email address for newsletter and offers — until you unsubscribe. After that only your address remains on the suppression list, so we do not contact you again.
• Click data from emails — a maximum of twelve months.
• Cookie consent — thirteen months, after which we ask again.

Sharing with third parties

We never sell your data. We do work with a number of service providers that process data on our behalf:

• Mollie — payments
• Supabase — our database, hosted in Frankfurt (EU)
• Vercel — website hosting
• Resend — sending our email
• Moneybird — invoicing and bookkeeping
• Sendcloud and the carriers — delivering your order
• Google — website statistics, only after you have given consent via the cookie banner
• Trustpilot — our reviews. The Trustpilot widget only loads once you have consented to marketing cookies; until then you just see a plain link to our Trustpilot page.

Cookies

Our website uses functional cookies (for example for your cart and account login). These are always active, as the website would not work properly otherwise.

In addition, only after your consent, we place the following cookies:

• Analytics — via Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, to measure and improve how the website is used.
• Marketing — including our partner/affiliate programme (the pawsome_ref cookie, which remembers which partner referred you) and any advertising cookies.

On your first visit we ask for your choice via a cookie banner. Until you give consent, analytics and marketing cookies are blocked (Google Consent Mode). Consent is valid for 13 months and can be adjusted or withdrawn at any time via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify or erase your personal data, restrict processing, object to processing and data portability. Send your request to info@itspawsome.nl. To prevent abuse we may ask you to identify yourself. We respond within one month; for complex requests this period may be extended by two months.

You also have an absolute right to object to direct marketing. If you object, we stop sending commercial email immediately — no balancing of interests on our part. The unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email handles this straight away; emailing info@itspawsome.nl works too.

Applicable law

Dutch law applies to this privacy policy. Disputes will be submitted to the competent court.
